LAS VEGAS (Oct. 2, 2019) – Lee Canyon, Southern Nevada’s premier year-round outdoor recreation destination, and a POWDR company, hosts its fourth annual Pray for Snow Party at Skye Canyon’s Skye Center (10111 W. Skye Canyon Park Drive) on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019 from 3 to 7 p.m. The all-ages event is free and open to the public. Pray for Snow marks the last day for people to take advantage of pre-season rates on Lee Canyon’s 2019-20 Lee Canyon season passes. Those who have already purchased their pass can pick it up during the event. The event also kicks off Lee Canyon’s second annual Spread the Warmth winter coat and sock drive benefitting Project 150.
Local skiers, snowboarders, and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy live music by Rein, and complimentary food and beverages. There will be a vendor village and giveaways that include snow experience packages with lift tickets and rentals, all in anticipation of Lee Canyon’s upcoming 2019-20 winter season and the opening of Hillside Lodge.
“The mountains are where everyone, regardless of experience level and age group, can discover adventure,” said Lee Canyon Marketing Director Jim Seely. “The Pray for Snow party allows winter enthusiasts the chance to reconnect with friends, meet fellow skiers and snowboarders and brings our community together for a great cause.”
Guests are encouraged to bring new socks and new, or gently used winter coats for the Spread the Warmth drive. Items will help the more than 6,300 registered and non-registered homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students. For every donation made at Pray for Snow, attendees will receive a raffle ticket for a special giveaway. Items can be donated at Skye Canyon Park and other partners through Friday, Nov. 29. The donations will be presented to Project 150 on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Skye Canyon Park.
