LEE CANYON LAUNCHES “DISCOVER 3” PROGRAM DESIGNED TO HELP LOCALS DISCOVER SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING

Lee Canyon, Las Vegas’ year-round backyard escape and a part of the POWDR adventure lifestyle portfolio, announces the launch of “Discover 3,” a program explicitly designed to encourage residents to engage in winter fun by learning to ski or snowboard. Discover 3 is $249 and includes three days of lift tickets, rentals, and three 1.5-hour lessons. Open to people ages 13 and older, Discover 3 can be purchased Tuesday, Jan. 21 through Saturday, Feb. 29 at www.leecanyonlv.com.

Upon completion of the third Discover 3 lesson, participants receive a complimentary Ride Local card, the pay-as-you-go season pass valued at $79.

“For some, adventure means tackling a big mountain. For others, it’s being outdoors or learning something new. With Discover 3, adventure becomes more accessible to people, regardless of definition,” explains Jim Seely, Lee Canyon’s director of marketing and technology. “We believe when people disconnect from city life, engage with nature, and have fun in the snow, the benefits are immeasurable.”

The Discover 3 program kicks off during January, which is National Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month. All Discover 3 lessons start at 9 a.m. People have until the end of the season to complete their lessons but to get maximum value from the Ride Local Card; Seely encourages people to complete lessons soon after purchase.

“Lee Canyon’s Ride Local Card locks in $39 lift ticket pricing for the rest of the season, as well as an equipment add-on of $49. It also gives the cardholder a week of free skiing/riding at the end of the season,” said Seely. “So, those who start Discover 3 early will get in plenty of winter adventure.”

Lee Canyon, now in its 57th winter season, recently opened the doors of Hillside Lodge, a new two-story, 10,000 square foot building offering indoor and outdoor spaces with sweeping views of Lee Canyon. Hillside Lodge is the most significant transformation in the resort’s history.

Lee Canyon’s 2019-20 winter season is expected to run through March 2020, weather permitting. For information on Hillside Lodge, and pricing for season passes, lift tickets, and tubing, visit www.leecanyonlv.com.

Lee Canyon is Southern Nevada’s premier winter and summer outdoor destination, and a POWDR company. As one of POWDR’s 11 mountain resort destinations, Lee Canyon aims to offer guests memorable experiences that integrate entertainment with adventure.
