THIS YEAR’S EVENT FEATURES THE INAUGURAL PLAY FOREVER PHOTOGRAPHY SHOWCASE
Lee Canyon’s Pray for Snow Party, an annual aprés-ski-themed event celebrating the upcoming winter season, is back after a one-year hiatus due to COVID. Now in its fifth year, the Pray for Snow Party is Saturday, Nov. 20, at Skye Center (10111 W. Skye Canyon Park Drive) from 3 to 7 p.m. Skiers and snowboarders can pick up or purchase Lee Canyon season passes ahead of opening day. There will be food trucks, beverages, and live music from Rein Garcia. Pray for Snow is an all-ages, family-friendly event that’s free to attend.
New this year, Lee Canyon’s Play Forever Photography Showcase will feature the work of eight finalists in the Play Forever Photography Contest. Grand prize winners in two categories, community and environment, will be announced at the event. The two winners will take home $500 in cash and have their work featured in Hillside Lodge. Other finalists will also receive prizes.
Attendees are encouraged to bring gently used, or new coats and new socks to donate to Lee Canyon’s Spread the Warmth Coat Drive benefitting Project 150.
Lee Canyon plans to open for its 2021/22-winter season in early December, pending appropriate weather conditions. The resort’s winter operating hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Guests planning to visit Lee Canyon are encouraged to purchase tickets online for discounts on tickets and avoid sold-out dates. For information on opening day, visit www.leecanyonlv.com.
