Las Vegas Women to Gather for Rooftop Scream, Turn Rage Into Action Against Violence

Vegas Girl Events and Esōes unite women for emotional release, community connection and advocacy against sexual violence.

LAS VEGAS (Oct. 9, 2026) — Women and girls across Las Vegas will gather Wednesday, Oct. 14, for LET. IT. OUT., a free rooftop event at BLVD Las Vegas featuring two collective screams designed to turn frustration into connection, healing and advocacy.

Hosted by Vegas Girl Events and Esōes (pronounced S-O-S), a Las Vegas-based women’s safety beauty and technology brand, the all-ages event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at 3747 S. Las Vegas Blvd. The event is free and open to all ages; registration and details are available on the event’s Eventbrite page.

“With so many women feeling frustrated, overwhelmed and unheard, this event is about giving them permission to feel without judgment or apology,” said Alexis Cardiel, vice president of Vegas Girl Events. “We want women to know they aren’t alone, their voices matter, and there’s an entire community ready to stand beside them. What starts as a scream can become something so much bigger.”

The event also aims to raise awareness about sexual violence and the need for stronger protections and support systems for women.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s 2023-24 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, an estimated 44.3% of adult Nevada women — approximately 527,000 — have experienced contact sexual violence during their lifetimes.

“Women deserve a world where safety is a right, not a privilege. We cannot keep treating sexual violence as an individual problem that women are responsible for avoiding. The responsibility of prevention belongs to our entire community,” said Joy Hoover, Esōes founder, and innovator of a smart lipstick designed to help protect women from violence. “We need stronger protections, accountability and systems that prioritize survivors.”

During the event, Hoover, a longtime advocate in Nevada, will discuss opportunities to support survivors and pursue potential legislative advocacy addressing sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking in Nevada.

Organizers are coordinating participation from Planned Parenthood and local counselors to connect attendees with support and resources. Additional therapeutic experiences include a boxing station, sound bath, music and dancing.

The first collective scream is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., followed by remarks from Cardiel and Hoover. A second scream will take place at 7:30 p.m.
