Lee Canyon announces the launch of the #LoveLeeCanyon Quik-Edit Film Competition, where people can showcase their favorite moments at Lee Canyon. Short films up to 60 seconds long will be judged on creativity and originality. Footage can include powder days, park sessions, or fun times with family and friends from 2019/20 season or past seasons. Footage must have been shot before Lee Canyon’s closing upholding stay-at-home directives. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel, and the top three filmmakers receive prize packages. The contest runs
through Sunday, April 19, and is open to people age 13 and older.
Entry is free; qualified submissions must be registered online at www.leecanyonlv.com/quik-edit- contest and posted to a public Instagram account using both the hashtag #LoveLeeCanyon and tag @LeeCanyonlv.
“We have a passionate community that loves the outdoors. Lee Canyon understands how hard it’s been to feel disconnected from nature and our friends because we feel it too,” said Jim Seely, Lee Canyon’s director of marketing. “We want to give people a platform to express their passion and explore their creativity using the video medium.”
Winners will be announced on Lee Canyon’s Instagram page the week of April 20. Prizes packages include:
First Place
GoPro 360 Camera Pack + 2020/21 Lee Canyon All Access Season Pass
Second Place
GoPro Hero 8 Camera + 2020/21 Lee Canyon Battle Born Pass
