Lee Canyon Opens for 2018-19 Winter Season Friday, December 7, 2018

Lee Canyon, Southern Nevada’s premier winter and summer outdoor destination, and a POWDR company, opens for its 2018-19 winter season Friday, Dec. 7, 2018. Rabbit Peak, serving beginner terrain, will be the first to open this season and will include terrain park features. Guest services, the Bighorn Grill, and Bristlecone Bar will serve guests starting on opening day and throughout the season. The resort’s daily winter hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“The recent snowfall, along with our snowmaking efforts, make it an ideal opening for skiers and snowboarders,” says Jim Seely, Lee Canyon’s marketing director. “Mother Nature’s cooperation means this early season period is the perfect time for Las Vegas skiers and snowboarders to get their ski legs back in time for the holiday season.”

The resort continues to offer its signature complimentary coaching for beginner to intermediate skiers and snowboarders that want to brush up on their skills. Private and group lessons can be reserved at the Pro Shop.

Guests will find the lowest priced lift tickets on the resort’s website. Lift tickets and season passes can also be online or at the base lodge. Guests are encouraged to purchase lift tickets, tubing sessions, and passes in advance and online to avoid sold out dates.

The Bluebird chairlift, serving beginner and intermediate terrain, and Sherwood chairlift, serving intermediate and advanced terrain, and snowshoeing activities will open at a later date pending appropriate weather conditions; tubing will open on Saturday, Dec. 15.

Lee Canyon’s 2018-19 winter season is expected to run through April 2019, weather permitting. For information on the opening of additional amenities, and pricing for season passes, lift tickets, and tubing, visit www.leecanyonlv.com.
