LEE CANYON’S FEEL GOOD FRIDAYS FUNDRAISING EVENT SERIES LAUNCHES MARCH 6, 2020

Lee Canyon, Southern Nevada’s premier winter and summer outdoor destination and a POWDR company, announced today their wildly successful Play Forever fundraiser, Feel Good Fridays, kicks off  March 6, 2020. On Fridays in March, lift tickets are $25, and $5 of every sale is donated to the High Fives Foundation, a nonprofit that provides support to mountain sports athletes with life-altering injuries. Since Feel Good Friday’s launched in 2017, Lee Canyon has raised more than $50,000 for the nonprofit. Feel Good Friday lift tickets are available at the base lodge the day of the event.

“Last year, Lee Canyon raised just over $20,000 thanks to the enthusiasm of our local community. This year we want to match that number,” said Jim Seely, Lee Canyon’s director of marketing and technology. Seely explained that fundraising efforts in Las Vegas had helped athletes faced with overwhelming injuries like mountain biker Landon McGauley and swimmer Meredith Koch.

Feel Good Fridays include live music, giveaways, and other special features. “Typically, March at Lee Canyon means terrific spring skiing conditions, making it an ideal time to get outside in the Spring Mountains,” said Seely. “But beyond fun, we are coming together to help people with life-altering injuries get back to doing what they love with the people they love.”

Feel Good Friday’s is a part of Lee Canyon’s Play Forever commitment to protect the environment and enable participation as the resort strives to be an enduring business that inspires the adventure lifestyle for generations.

Lee Canyon, now in its 57th winter season, recently opened the doors of Hillside Lodge, a new two-story, 10,000 square foot building at the base of the resort offering indoor and outdoor spaces with sweeping views of Lee Canyon. Hillside Lodge is the most significant transformation in the resort’s history.

Lee Canyon’s 2019-20 winter season is expected to run through March 2020, weather permitting. For information on Hillside Lodge, and pricing for season passes, lift tickets, and tubing, visit www.leecanyonlv.com.

As one of POWDR’s 11 mountain resort destinations, Lee Canyon aims to offer guests memorable experiences that integrate entertainment with adventure.
